Things in Scream That are in Other Movies!!!

In this page, you will find things that are in the movie, Scream, that are also in other movies. I hope you enjoy this. Thank you. Now, without any further adue, things in scream that are in other movies.

The opening phone sequence with Casey is similar to When A Stranger Calls and
it's sequel When A Stranger Calls Back.

When Sidney calls the Police via her computer, what's her address? 34 Elm Street,
taken from A Nightmare On Elm Street.

The killer talks about Halloween, Friday the 13th and Freddy Krueger.

When the killer is choking Sid in Dewey's van, it is exactly the same
as when
Michael Myers chokes Annie inside the garage in Halloween.

Billy mentions Psycho, The Exorcist and Silence Of The Lambs.
Stu mentions
the Candyman.

In Prom Night, Jude introduces her date as Steve Orth, the same name as Casey
Becker's boyfriend! The name does not appear in the credits because the character
was also called Slick and that's how the name appears in the credits.

Kenny's death is similar to one of the girls in Prom Night.

Randy mentions Evil Dead, Hellraiser, Prom Night and Terror Train.

The fight between Sidney and the killer at her house is similar to the fight
scene between Sarah and Nancy in The Craft.

Billy's surname Loomis comes from Halloween & Psycho.

During her last few moments, Tatum mentions'I Spit on Your Garage' (a homage to
I Spit On Your Grave') and 'Casper'.

Drew Barrymore has to answer questions on Halloween, Friday the 13th and A
Nightmare on Elm Street.

Randy calls Billy Loomis "Leatherface" taken from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Linda Blair has a cameo in the movie as a reporter ("people have a right to
know!"), who originally starred in The Exorcist.

When Casey answered her question by the killer, she says it exactly like someone
says it in Halloween 4, "It's Michael...Michael Myers!"

In Prom Night, when Kelly and Drew are making out in the locker room, Drew inches
his hand up her thigh and lifts her dress in almost exactly the same way
(camera angle, etc.) that Billy did with Sidney's nightgown at the beginning
of Scream. Both Kelly and Sidney stopped their boyfriends from advancing
further.

Principal Himbry brushes his hair the same way as the Fonz did in Happy Days.

Casey tries to scream at her parents, but can't as her voicebox had been cut,
like Laurie at the end of Halloween 2 when Loomis and the woman enter Haddonfield
Memorial Hospital.

In Halloween, when Laurie tells the two kids to call the Police, where do
they go? To the Mackenzies, who also live down the road from Casey. When Laurie
gets a crank call, the person rings back again and the first words she says
are 'Why did you hang up on me?' which is similar to what the killer says to
Casey.

The Halloween theme from the television is being played as the actual background
theme being played through much of the ending of the movie.

Billy mentions a quote from PSYCHO whensaying "We all go a little mad sometimes,
"--Anthony Perkins, Psycho.

Casey mentions the Elm Streets , "The first one was good, but the rest
sucked."

Sidney says, "This place looks like THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN" when
talking to Tatum and Dewey.

Tatum mentions ALL THE RIGHT MOVES when talking about Tom Cruise.

While at the video store, a girl walks up to Randy and asks for the movie
that stars ET's mom. He replies with THE HOWLING.

Drew Barrymore, Matt Lillard and Liev Schreiber all appear in the movie
Mad Love. In the movie, Drew's character is called Casey and Matt's character
Eric is similar to Stu; he even does the same laugh as he does to Randy in
the video store.

Billy mentions that corn syrup is used as pig's blood in the movie CARRIE.

An APOLLO 13 saying is used by Stu when he says, "Houston, we have a problem"
when trying to find Dewey's gun.

CLUELESS gets a mention when Stu says, "As if, that's all I'm sayin, as if."
and Randy says, "Oh really, Alicia?"

The 1930s version of Frankenstein is seen being played in the video store.

The song "Don't Fear The Reaper" is playing when Billy is in Sid's room,
and it is played in Halloween when Laurie & Annie are in the car.

The entire opening sequence is similar to Dario Argento's Suspiria.

The sheriff is played by Joseph Whipp, who also played a police officer
in A Nightmare On Elm Street.

In the video store there's a poster for the Jamie Lee Curtis movie, Mother's
Boys.

In the movie Hackers, Matt Lillard plays a computer hacker called Serial Killer,
which is what he became in Scream!
